Chase Sapphire Reserve® 80,000 point offer

Offer no longer available.

The Chase Sapphire Reserve® is allowing you to earn 80,000 bonus points after you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months.

If you are new to credit card rewards chances are you should be well under 5/24 which means that you have not opened up five accounts in the past 24 months (that report to your personal credit report).

When you are under 5/24 (in the vast majority of cases) you should pursue Chase credit cards first to optimize your earnings with them.

Otherwise, you might end up ineligible for the best Chase cards (which also happen to be some of the best overall travel cards).

Also, to optimize your rewards you always want to time your applications so that you were jumping on some of the best available bonuses.

Because the Chase Sapphire Reserve® has an elevated bonus of 80,000 bonus points right now, which is the highest we have seen since its launch back in 2017, this would be a perfect time to jump on it.

The Sapphire Reserve® earns flexible Ultimate Rewards which can be transferred out to various travel partners at a 1:1 ratio.

These partners include the following.

Airlines:

  • Aer Lingus AerClub
  • Air Canada Aeroplan
  • Air France-KLM Flying Blue
  • British Airways Executive Club
  • Emirates Skywards
  • Iberia Plus
  • JetBlue TrueBlue
  • Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer
  • Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards
  • United MileagePlus
  • Virgin Atlantic Flying Club

Hotels:

  • IHG Rewards Club
  • Marriott Bonvoy
  • World of Hyatt

And when it comes to bonus points you can earn the following:

  • 10X Chase Dining
  • 10X on hotels booked through the Chase Travel Portal*
  • 5X on airfare booked through the Chase Travel Portal*
  • 3X on dining
  • 3X on travel*
  • 1X on all other purchases

*after the first $300 is spent on travel purchases annually.

Personally, I use the Reserve as my go to travel card because of the strong earning rate of 3X and the strong travel protections.

The annual fee is $550 but you can offset that with the $300 annual travel credit which can be used on a variety of purchases.

If you use Instacart, you can get a $15 per month credit all the way through July 31, 2024, after you activate which can further help offset the fee.

Additional perks like Lyft Pink and DashPass can also help provide even more value. And don’t forget about Instacart+!

Of course, you can always use the WalletFlo app to help you keep track of these perks and even to track the use and value you get out of them.

Be mindful of the Sapphire eligibility rules which could exclude you if you received a bonus in the last 48 months for a Sapphire card.

You can always use the eligibility checker in WalletFlo to verify your eligibility before applying. Learn how to apply!

Final word

It’s always great to jump on an offer that is one of the best and in this case we have not seen an offer break 80,000 points for this card since the launch back in 2017 when it had a 100,000 point bonus.
