Is Hampton Inn Part of Hilton? (Full List of Locations) [2021]

Hilton has a pretty large collection of brands that span all different levels of luxury and cost efficiency. With so many different brands popping up it is often hard to keep track of exactly which brands belong to Hilton.

In this article, I will answer the commonly asked question: “Is Hampton a part of Hilton?” and I’ll also provide you some insight into Hampton Inn properties.

Is Hampton Inn part of Hilton?

Yes, Hampton Inn is one of the largest and well-known brands of the Hilton network.

It has a reputation for being an upper-midscale brand but for a lot of people that description is not very helpful because it does not really indicate the type of prices you will encounter when staying at this brand.

Something interesting about Hampton Inn is that the Hampton brand has consistently been named one of the best and largest franchises in the lodging category and one of the top franchise brands overall. It’s sort of the McDonald’s of Hilton.

How to find Hampton Inn properties

You can find Hampton Inn properties all around the world (30 countries) and throughout the US. In fact, Hilton reports that there are a total of 2,544 Hampton Inn properties around the world. That comes out to over 266,000 rooms which is pretty crazy when you think about it.

Because there are so many of these properties, it’s often one of the easiest brands to find and to use reward points with.

In the US, you will be able to find over 2,300 Hampton Inn properties! If you would like to search for Hampton Inn locations in the US you can use this link to do so.

Hampton inn properties have a reputation for being pretty cost-efficient but that does not mean that they will all be cheap. Here are some examples of some of the most expensive Hampton Inn properties you can find:

  • Hampton Inn Jackson Hole: $548
  • Hampton Inn Bar Harbor: $547
  • Hampton Inn & Suites Destin: $474
  • Hampton Inn & Suites Panama City Beach-Beachfront: $456
  • Hampton Inn Pensacola Beach: $418
  • Hampton Inn & Suites Myrtle Beach/Oceanfront: $365

$500 for one night is pretty pricey and something you would probably expect to find with other brands like the Waldorf or Conrad!

At the same time, you can also find these properties going for very low rates. (This is actually in line with how Hampton Inn started out since it initially was a budget hotel when it first launched back in the mid 1980s.)

In some cases, you may even consider staying at the Hampton Inn properties if you are thinking about doing a mattress run to achieve elite status.

  • Hampton Inn Houston Hobby Airport: $59
  • Hampton Inn & Suites Houston-Cypress Station: $63
  • Hampton Inn Dallas-Addison: $65
  • Hampton Inn & Suites Elk City: $69
  • Hampton Inn & Suites Grand Forks: $73

So as you can tell by all of the properties and prices, there is actually a very wide range in the quality and cost of Hampton Inn properties. You could be paying as little as $59 or as much as $548 — it really just depends on the location.

  • Brazil
  • Canada
  • Cayman Islands
  • Chile
  • China

That is a pretty long list of countries where you can find these properties. It’s worth pointing out that not all of these countries will have a lot of Hampton Inn locations.

For example if you were to search in Spain you would find only two cities, Madrid and Barcelona with properties. Furthermore, Barcelona only has one Hampton Inn so while there is a pretty extensive international presence it doesn’t always have a lot of depth to it.

Hampton Inn vs Garden Inn

A common point of comparison is the Hampton Inn vs Garden Inn. This is because these two brands are more or less mid-priced hotels. Some consider the Garden Inn to be a slight step above the Hampton Inn, which I have found to generally be accurate but not always the case. Once again, the quality comparison is often very location specific.

The Garden Inn has a lot fewer properties at only around 860 total locations. However, the Garden Inn also has a much wider international presence as you can find the properties in approximately 60 countries.
