Hilton just released new limited time offers for its new suite of co-branded Amex credit cards and they are fantastic. It’s rare that an entire suite of credit cards comes with offers worth jumping on but that’s how I feel about these cards. If you’re at all interested in Hilton properties or free hotel stays, then I’d highly suggest giving these three offers a close look.
June 30, 2018 Update: These limited time offers have expired.
Hilton Honors Ascend Card from American Express
- Limited Time Offer: 100,000 points after you spend $3,000 in purchases within your first 3 months of Card Membership. OFFER EXPIRED
- Plus, earn a free weekend night award after your first anniversary of Card Membership.
- Earn 12X on hotel or resorts within the Hilton Portfolio.
- Earn 6X on U.S. restaurants, U.S. supermarkets, and U.S. gas stations.
- Earn 3X on all other eligible purchases on your Card.
- Automatic Hilton Honors Gold status
- Spend $40,000 to earn Hilton Honors Diamond status through the end of the next calendar year.
- $95 annual fee
- Offer expires 06/27/2018
I imagine this will be the highest welcome offer for this card as far as it coming with a 100K bonus + a free weekend night. That free weekend night can be used at any of the most expensive Hilton properties and that makes paying for the $95 annual fee a no brainer. Although it’s an extreme example, you could use that free night to cover a night at the Hilton Conrad where prices could hit as much as $3,000 per night.
If you combined that with the welcome bonus you could squeeze over $6,000 worth of value out of this card. Again, that’s an extreme example but the idea is that this hotel credit card can be one of the most lucrative options to go with in terms of outsized value potential.
Hilton Honors Card from American Express
- Limited Time Offer: 75,000 points after you spend $1,000 in purchases within the first 3 months of Card Membership. OFFER EXPIRED
- Earn 7X on hotels or resorts within the Hilton Honors portfolio of brands.
- Earn 5X at U.S. restaurants, U.S. supermarkets, and U.S. gas stations.
- Earn 3X on other eligible purchases on your Card.
- Hilton Honors Silver status
- No Foreign Transaction Fees. Enjoy international travel without additional fees on purchases made abroad.
- Spend $20,000 on eligible purchases on your Card in a calendar year and get upgraded to Hilton Honors Gold status through the end of the next calendar year.
- No Annual Fee.
- Offer expires 06/27/2018
I think the 75,000 offer will also be the highest offer for this card so it’s worth jumping on if you were waiting for a high welcome bonus for the no annual fee Hilton card. The $20,000 spend for Hilton Gold is very achievable though I would just go with the Ascend if I wanted Hilton Gold. But overall, this is a great offer for a no annual fee card.
Hilton Honors American Express Business Credit Card
- Limited Time Offer: Earn 125,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points after you spend $5,000 in purchases on your Card in the first 3 months of Card Membership. OFFER EXPIRED
- 12X at hotels and resorts in the Hilton portfolio,
- 6X on Select Business & Travel Purchases,
- 3X on other eligible purchases on your Card.
- Automatic Hilton Honors Gold status
- Enjoy complimentary Gold status with your Hilton Honors Business Card.
- Earn a Weekend Night Reward from Hilton Honors after you spend $15,000 in purchases on your Card in a calendar year.
- Free Weekend Night Reward from Hilton Honors after you spend an additional $45,000 in purchases on your Card in the same calendar year.
- 10 Priority Pass Select passes.
- Offer expires 06/27/2018
Once again, I don’t see the welcome bonus getting much higher than this. If you’re interested in Hilton points but need to stay under 5/24 then business credit card is a fantastic option. Read here for more tips on how to get approved for small business credit cards.
Final word on these credit card offers
If you think you’ll be staying at a Hilton property anytime soon I think all three of these offers are worth considering. Keep in mind that Amex will only allow you to be approved for one credit card at a time (most of the time). If you want more than one of these cards, then I’d suggest waiting a week to apply for the second card, but you can’t get more than two Amex credit cards in 90 days. Click here for more on the Amex application rules.
It’s likely that these offers will return at some point in the future though we don’t know when that will be.
